APRIL SHOW- NATHELLE NORFLEET April 5th – Paintings by Nathelle Norfleet Reception: 3-5 pm. Show runs through the 26th.
Monmouth-based artist Nathelle Norfleet has shown with the gallery as part of group shows over the past few years and now we are featuring her work here in her first solo exhibit. Nathelle is known for her realistic landscape and interior scenes. She has been involved with several art groups in the area including Artists In Action. Preview her work at http://www.nathelle.com/

MAY SHOW- BROMELIADS & BRUSHES May 3rd – “Bromeliads and Brushes” – Public Opening 3-5 pm. Runs through the 24th.This show features artists’ renditions of the bromeliads that we display in the gallery. There are about a dozen invited artists participating in the exhibit and their work will be displayed with the different plants they’ve used as their subjects. Media ranges from Oil & Acrylic painting to Metal Art and Ceramics. Oregon grower Oscar Allen, will present a 45 minute talk and demonstration at 6 and again at 7:30 centered around the species and their propagation and cross-breeding of these plants. He will be starting a new variety as part of the presentation which the attendees will have first right to purchase upon maturity. The public reception will be free and open to the public. The evening presentations will be limited to 50 people and will cost $10 per person Which includes a “bare-rooted” bromeliad plant for each attendee. Tickets for the evening talks are now available at the gallery.

June 7th – Landscapes by J. Steven Hunt – Reception from 3-5 pm. Runs through the 25th.Salem artist J. Steven Hunt (Steve), will present recent landscape works in oil and limited edition print. Steve has a broad background in art including graphic design, woodworking and contemporary sculpture. July 5th Watercolor Society of Oregon – Reception 3-5 pm. Runs through the 26th. This will be the 42nd year of this exhibit featuring the top 20 award-winning paintings from the Aqueous Media Exhibition held by the Watercolor Society of Oregon. These are among the best watercolor artists in the Northwest so don’t miss this show.
